Inizjattiva Ġdida
Bil-mod il-mod qed tinħema inizjattiva ġdida ta' bl-isem Aħn'Aħwa favur żgħażagħ fid-diffikultà. Dan is-servizz ta' Youth Mentoring se jkollha 3 elementi:
1. Inlaqqgħu adulti li jixtiequ jkunu bħall-aħwa l-kbar ta' żgħażagħ li għandhom bżonn role model adult li miegħu jew magħha jistgħu jibnu relazzjoni ta'ħbiberija, joħorġu kultant flimkien, imorru xi mixja, jisimgħu l-mużika, jidħadtu.

2. Inlaqqgħu adulti b'sengħa jew kapaċità partikolari li jixtiequ jgħadduha lil żagħżugħ jew żagħżugħa li hi interessata ħafna tiżviluppa dik it-tip ta' ħila, sengħa jew kompetnza.

3. Inlaqqgħu artisti ma' żgħażagħ li huma mġenna' għall-arti imma li qatt ma kellhom l-opportunità li jiżviluppaw din il-ħila b'mod formali.

This is the appeal that has started to go out to artists.

INVITATION TO ARTISTS IN MALTA

We are a team of lay persons and Sisters of Charity sisters, who work together to identify and support persons and families whose life circumstances, such as chronic ill-health, loss, communication difficulties, disability, etc, have resulted in isolation. We try to be of support in a creative manner, always looking out for opportunities that may help vulnerable persons unblock obstacles to learning and growth.

We would like to invite you to help us in two ways:

•  by donating a painting or sculpture that expresses your vision and love of life;

and / or

•  by accepting to be an Art Mentor or Art Coach to a person with learning difficulties who loves the visual arts and would like to learn how to draw, paint, sculpt, etc. Such persons thrive through a one-to-one connection with another person that is often missing outside their immediate family.

Your painting will be put up for auction as a fundraising initiative. Should you so wish, information about your painting or sculpture will be uploaded on our website together with a bio-note.

Your talent will be put to the service of persons who need colour and creativity to brighten up their lives.
